Furniture Racks, Pipe Racks & Lumber Racks are all part of Cantilever Racking — an ideal solution for storing long, bulky materials. These systems are perfect for handling steel bars, timber, tubing, or furniture components. Modular, adjustable, and forklift-friendly, Cantilever Racks offer unmatched flexibility and ease of access.
Uprights
Cantilever uprights are vertical columns bolted to horizontal bases, forming the backbone of the system. Available in single- or double-sided styles, each upright includes precision-punched holes for adjustable arm positioning and is designed to safely anchor to the floor for maximum stability.
Arms
Cantilever arms support the stored loads and are available in straight or inclined versions. Adjustable on 3" centers, these arms come in lengths up to 60" and are engineered to carry materials like pipes, lumber, and tubing safely with optional lips or stoppers.
Brace Set
Brace sets connect uprights and provide structural rigidity to the cantilever rack. Depending on upright height and load capacity, brace sets are available in patterns such as 2H-1X (96" height with brace lengths 35", 48", 13"), 3H-1X (144" height with brace lengths 35", 48", 48", 13"), 4H-2X (192" height with brace lengths 35", 48", 48", 48", 13"), and 5H-2X (240" height with brace lengths 35", 48", 48", 48", 48", 13"), each suited for medium- to heavy-duty applications.
Single-Sided vs. Double-Sided Cantilever Uprights
Cantilever uprights come in two formats — single-sided and double-sided — to suit different warehouse layouts. Single-sided uprights are ideal for wall-mounted configurations, providing storage on one side only and conserving floor space.
Double-sided uprights allow storage on both sides, maximizing storage density and accessibility when placed in open floor areas. Both types are punched at 3" centers to support flexible and safe arm positioning.
Uprights are anchored to the floor and offered in various heights and base lengths, ensuring structural integrity and customization for different types of loads.
Cantilever Arms
It wouldn't be cantilever racking without heavy-duty, stable cantilever arms. These horizontal supports are the primary contact point for stored materials and play vital role in load capacity and layout flexibility. From lumber to piping and steel products, proper selection of cantilever arms determines the overall strength and adaptability of your racking system.
Straight Arm
Ideal for storing stable, flat loads such as wood panels, crates, steel sheets, and furniture.

Ideal for storing stable, flat loads such as wood panels, crates, steel sheets, and furniture. Straight arms provide a level surface, ensuring that materials do not shift or warp over time. They are available in various lengths and gauges to match your specific load requirements, with a standard pitch to prevent deflection and maintain structural integrity under heavy weight.
Inclined Arm
Specifically designed for cylindrical or round objects like pipes, rolls, tubing, and conduits.
Inclined Arm

Specifically designed for cylindrical or round objects like pipes, rolls, tubing, and conduits. The standard 20° pitch of the inclined arm uses gravity to keep items secure, preventing forward roll-off and ensuring safe storage, especially in high-density environments. Optional arm stoppers can be added for extra security.
Hair Pin Keeper
The hair pin keeper is a critical safety component that secures the cantilever arm to the upright column.

The hair pin keeper is a critical safety component that secures the cantilever arm to the upright column. This removable pin allows for quick, tool-free adjustment of arm height, offering maximum flexibility during system reconfiguration. It is compatible with all standard cantilever arms and ensures a rigid, reliable connection.
Brace Sets for Structural Stability
Cantilever brace sets are critical cross-members that connect uprights, ensuring horizontal stability and rigidity across the entire rack system. The choice of brace pattern depends on upright height and load requirements. Available patterns include 2H-1X (96" height with brace lengths 35", 48", 13"), 3H-1X (144" height with brace lengths 35", 48", 48", 13"), 4H-2X (192" height with brace lengths 35", 48", 48", 48", 13"), and 5H-2X (240" height with brace lengths 35", 48", 48", 48", 48", 13"), each engineered with high-strength steel and a galvanized finish to resist corrosion and wear. Proper brace selection enhances safety and prevents rack sway in medium- to heavy-duty applications.
"2H-1X" Brace Pattern: Designed for 96" uprights, this pattern uses two horizontal braces with one X-shaped reinforcement and brace lengths of 35", 48", and 13", providing robust stability for moderate load capacities.
"3H-1X" Brace Pattern: Utilized for 144" uprights, the 3H-1X pattern incorporates three horizontal braces with one X-shaped reinforcement and brace lengths of 35", 48", 48", and 13", offering enhanced rigidity for taller structures.
"4H-2X" Brace Pattern: Engineered for 192" uprights, the 4H-2X pattern features four horizontal braces with two X-shaped reinforcements and brace lengths of 35", 48", 48", 48", 13", providing superior stability for tall, heavy-duty systems.
"5H-2X" Brace Pattern: Applied to 240" uprights, the 5H-2X pattern uses five horizontal braces with two X-shaped reinforcements and brace lengths of 35", 48", 48", 48", 48", 13", offering maximum rigidity for large-scale systems.
Designing a Cantilever Rack System
The key to a successful cantilever rack system is knowing the size, weight, and shape of your stored products. This includes the length, depth, height, and weight to determine the number and configuration of arms, uprights, and braces.
Determine the Number and Spacing of Arms
Ensure enough arms to prevent load deflection. Use at least two arms if deflection is minimal, or three to four if deflection is detected. Overhanging loads must not exceed half the upright spacing.
Determine the Length of the Arms
Load depth must never exceed the arm length. Match arms to product width for full support. Improperly loaded arms can reduce capacity drastically.
Determine the Height of the Upright
Account for ceiling height, forklift clearance, sprinkler clearance, and building codes. Add base height, arm thickness, and 6" vertical clearance per level.
Determine Arm and Upright Capacities
Divide load per level by number of arms to get arm capacity. Multiply arm capacity by total arms per upright side to get upright requirement. Upright capacity must always exceed total arm capacity.
Determine Brace Length
Brace length is the centerline spacing between two uprights and is critical to stability and load rating. Select appropriate bracing based on overall upright spacing and height.
Consider Warehouse Layout
Evaluate available floor space and workflow to choose between single-sided or double-sided uprights. Single-sided racks suit wall-adjacent setups, while double-sided racks maximize storage in open areas.
